Responsibilities:

• Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
• Conduct NST (Non Stress Tests) and OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests)
• Perform reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients
• Use external fetal monitoring (EFM) and intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Administer blood, blood products, and manage IV therapy
• Support vaginal and C-section deliveries, including assisting with instruments and hemorrhage management
• Neonatal resuscitation and baby care, including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
• Manage postpartum care, including hemorrhage, infection, and patient education
• Use of EPIC electronic charting system
