Job Details:

• Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter

• Pay Range: $40.00 - $48.06
• Schedule: Full-time or Part-time options
• Contract Length: 2026-2027 School Year
• Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in the school setting
• Requirements: Valid state licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter, be willing to obtain SC licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, discussion, and school activities using ASL.
• Support students’ access to academic content, social interactions, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support students’ educational participation, communication, and inclusion.
• Assist with IEP meetings and ensure compliance with educational and communication standards.
• Adapt interpretation to meet diverse student needs, including working with students with gestural communication or DeafPlus.
