Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care for individuals with pneumonia, UTI, AMS, GI bleed, alcohol withdrawal, falls or weakness.
• Monitor and record vital signs, blood glucose levels, and perform EKGs.
• Apply heart monitors and assist with patient bathing, feeding, toileting, turning, and positioning.
• Titrate drips such as heparin, bumex, and lasix with some exceptions.
• Collaborate with charge nurses on each shift, take patient assignments as directed.
• Support RTs with troubleshooting breathing equipment; monitor and escalate as needed.
• Read telemonitors conducted by techs, contribute to patient safety through vigilant monitoring.
• Float to other units or MS, MS-Tele, or IMC as needed, with flexibility for shift coverage.
• Adhere to dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs, Ceil Blue for PCTs, black/pink for secretaries.
• Complete unit orientation: 1 day with educator/computer system, 1 day with preceptor.
