Responsibilities:

• Perform psychosocial interventions with clients within scope of practice
• Conduct individual, family, or group counseling, testing, & education of clients
• Develop intervention goals and objectives to educate and resolve client issues
• Participate in establishing, implementing, and evaluating treatment system goals
• Interview clients and families to set case goals and objectives
• Assess clients and determine intervention techniques while monitoring responses
• Provide feedback on treatment effectiveness and evaluate client progress
• Review lower-level provider cases and client outcomes from prescribed treatment plans
• Maintain documentation to meet federal, state, and local requirements
• Prepare social histories, admission/aftercare summaries, court documents, and legal forms
• Serve on treatment and program development teams
• Attend training, meetings, and court hearings as required
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups with other facilities, agencies, and support services
• Ensure compliance with departmental regulations, policies, and governmental rules
• Counsel on sensitive matters; proofread technical materials and recognize potential issues
• Apply social work theories and techniques to complex situations
