Job Title: RAPID RESPONSE - RN CVICU - DEPT 650 - 7P-7A
Location: North Charleston, SC
Setting: Hospital
Pay Range: Varies by assignment. Contact your recruiter for details.
Schedule: 19:00 - 07:00
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Travel
Requirements: 36 months RN experience, with at least one of those years in an ICU. Must have: Ability to care for up to 1-3 ICU patients and have comfort in managing patients on the ventilator. Bedside shift report will occur on every patient with each transfer of care. Proficient in reading telemetry strips. Prior CVICU Experience. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH stroke scale.
Responsibilities:
• Provide bedside care for ICU patients, including ventilated patients on complex equipment.
• Conduct bedside shift reports, ensuring accurate patient handoff.
• Monitor telemetry and manage patients on advanced cardiovascular supportive devices.
• Perform procedures such as post-op CABG, Impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
• Administer respiratory treatments and assist with emergent procedures related to cardiovascular and neuro care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and unit-specific protocols.
