Job Details:

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 2070.40 - 2173.92

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night, 4x12-Hour)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: Three years of critical care experience preferred; Previous travel experience preferred; Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; Must be proficient in Epic; Strong neuro critical care experience; Ventilator management; IV drip titration; Telemetry monitoring; Conscious sedation; Dysrhythmia recognition and management; Emergency response and critical care management; BLS (American Heart Association only); ACLS (American Heart Association only); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any license or background hits. Please thoroughly review the candidates history before submission. Local RN candidates living within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare are not eligible for this position. Submit with completed Qualivis Cover Sheet, current NURSYS report, and all requested time off listed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing in the ICU, including ventilator management and telemetry monitoring.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and perform critical care procedures.
• Float to Stepdown Unit, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital policies and compliance requirements, including licensing and background checks.
