Job Details:

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Setting: Hospital

Pay Range: 2085.16 - 2189.42

Schedule: 19:00 - 07:30 (Night, 3x12s)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: Three years of critical care experience preferred (strong candidates with less experience may be considered); Previous travel experience preferred; Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptions; Must be proficient in Epic; no exceptions; BLS (American Heart Association only); ACLS (American Heart Association only); NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any license or background hits; Local RN candidates living within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare are not eligible for this position; Submission must include: Completed Qualivis Cover Sheet, Current NURSYS report, All requested time off listed on the Qualivis Cover Sheet

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing in intensive care units for ICU patients
• Manage ventilator, telemetry, and monitoring devices
• Administer medications including IV drips and conscious sedation
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and emergencies
• Float between stepdown, emergency, and medical-surgical units as needed
