Job Title: Respiratory Therapist





Location: Weirton, WV





Setting: Hospital





Pay Range: 2077.60 - 2181.48





Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 630p-630a (No self-scheduling; 4-week rotation schedule, includes weekend and holiday requirements)





Contract Length: 13 weeks





Candidate Type: Traveler





Requirements: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, RRT or CRT (those grandfathered in by the WV Board of Resp are acceptable); 3-4 years of experience preferred; must include a copy of candidate's unexpired driver's license; treatments per day: Avg 90-100; floor duties, breathing treatments, ABG's, Capillary sticks for I-Stats, managing respiratory equipment; assist intubations; no EKGs; hospitalist or intensivist in house 24/7: No; supervisor/manager on each shift: Yes; floating: NA; scrubs: teal color, acceptable pattern shirts; orientation: 1-3 shifts with a preceptor, as needed





Responsibilities:

• Perform respiratory therapies, including breathing treatments and ABGs.
  
• Manage and troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, and high flow devices.
  
• Assist with intubations as needed.
  
• Collect samples and perform capillary sticks for I-Stats.
  
• Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient care quality.
  
• Follow hospital protocols and safety procedures.
  
• Document all procedures and treatments accurately.
  
• Adhere to dress code and shift schedules as assigned.
  
• Work effectively within the inpatient, ER, rehabilitation, PACU, SNF, endoscopy, and cath lab settings.
