Job Title: RN: Psych
Location: Staunton, VA
Setting: Children & Adolescent Psych
Pay Range: $2800 - $3000 weekly gross
Schedule: 4 x 12 hour shifts - 7a-7:30p - 48 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as needed
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Candidate Type: Travel candidates only – travel reimbursement available 

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a RN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in inpatient Psych
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain VA or compact state licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Corrections facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Must have experience and be comfortable working as charge nurse
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, & evaluate patient care utilizing knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric disorders, AND physical, psychological, & social needs of the psychiatric adolescent
• Walking and/or standing for up to eight (8) hours or more. Bending & lifting. Ability to us TOVA techniques.
• May be exposed to aggressive patients. Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime hours or shifts as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment—providing care that truly matters.
