Job Title: RN: Corrections
Location: Castle Hayne
Setting: Youth Detention Center
Pay Range: $1900 - $2100 weekly gross
Schedule: 7a-3:30p,  Mon - Fri, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Please understand that this position requires significant independence. Nurses will be expected to work closely with direct care staff and will serve as the sole on-site nurse for portions of their shift. Although strong support and resources are available, candidates must be comfortable working within a secure juvenile justice environment.

Requirements: 

• 1 year of experience as a RN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in adolescent, pediatric, school, public health, correctional-juvenile, and/or emergency nursing practice
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain NC or hold compact state licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Corrections facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Must me comfortable working independently with the direct care staff.
• Must be be comfortable working with an EHR and telehealth equipment.
• Must feel comfortable working in a juvenile justice facility with direct care staff.
