Job Details:
Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Setting: Hospital
Pay Range: 3023.40 - 3174.57
Schedule: 07:00 - 17:30 (10-hour day shift; on-call coverage required 1-2 days per week; 1 weekend of call per month; call for 1 Summer holiday and 1 Winter holiday)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler
Requirements: 2 years of CVOR experience; Level I Trauma experience; BLS; ACLS; Pennsylvania single-state or compact RN license at the time of submission; ability to scrub and circulate all types of CVOR cases; CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR experience; experience with Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, IABP, MAZE procedures, Mitral Valve replacement, Pericardial Window, TAVR, and LVAD/RVAD; experience with cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling and labeling, Universal Protocol/time-out procedures, urinary catheterization, wound management, code response, fire safety, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia; experience with Cell Saver, electrosurgical units, fiber-optic light sources and cords, Hana Table, and Steris; Cerner Surginet experience; Pennsylvania fingerprints
Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate all types of CVOR cases within the nurse’s scope of practice.
- Support CVOR, General OR, and Hybrid OR procedures.
- Apply cardiac monitoring, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, and Universal Protocol procedures.
- Participate in on-call coverage and float to the General OR or like units as needed to meet facility needs.
- Document patient care and procedural activities using Cerner Surginet.
