Job Details:

• Job Title: RN: Med Surg/Tele - Stroke
• Location: Towson, MD
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Med Surg/Tele - Stroke
• Pay Range: $1909.84 - $2005.33 weekly gross
• Schedule: 12-Hour Nights, 7p-7:30a / Every other weekend, every other holiday
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Candidate Type: Local or Travel
• Requirements: 2 years of experience as an RN. Must have previous travel experience. Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of stroke experience. Valid Registered Nursing license. Be willing to obtain MD or compact state licensure.

Responsibilities:

• Manages daily patient assignment by appropriately setting priorities.
• Anticipates need for intervention by other disciplines.
• Compiles database and formulates nursing diagnosis.
• Monitors patient conditions, administers treatments and documents outcomes.
• Determines priorities for patient care needs or problems.
• Reassesses the patient as indicated by changes in condition and/or response to treatments.
• Initiates and updates a written nursing plan of care for patients by incorporating scientific and psychosocial principles that support the nursing diagnosis.
• Incorporates information obtained from nursing care planning conferences into written nursing plan of care.
• Coordinates patient, family, significant other, and health team members in the planning of hospital and post-discharge care.
• If competent, serves as a charge RN and monitors productivity/patient flow.
