Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Private Duty Nurse
Location: Rockville, MD
Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)
Pay Range: $35.00 - $44.50 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Hours per week: Full-Time or Part-Time (see shift details below)
Shift: Varies – may include rotating shifts, D/N, or variable hours to meet operational needs (e.g., 20-40 hours/week; typical shift times)
Contract Length: Ongoing contract (details to be discussed)

Requirements:
Qualified applicants MUST have a minimum of 2 years of RN experience in pediatric or school settings. Candidates must hold a valid Maryland RN license and be willing to obtain state licensure if not already licensed. Pediatric experience in homecare, school nursing, or acute care preferred, with skills including medication administration, tube feedings, tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and seizure monitoring.

Preferred Skills:

• Pediatric medication administration (PO and G-tube)
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Oxygen therapy management, including humidifiers and concentrators
• Care for medically fragile children with chronic conditions
• Collaboration with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Experience with chronic disease management, pediatric ventilator support, and emergency response

Responsibilities:
As a healthcare professional in a school setting, you will provide individualized nursing care to students, supporting their participation and inclusion. Your daily duties will typically include:

• Delivering personalized care based on physician orders and care plans
• Administering medications, performing tube feedings, and providing trach and oxygen therapy
• Monitoring student safety and responding to urgent situations
• Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and families to promote educational participation
• Documenting care and maintaining communication with all team members
