Job Overview

• Job Title: School Psychologist

• Location: Plaistow, New Hampshire

• Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)

• Pay Rate: Up to $58.00 / hour (Pay based on experience)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday (no weekends, no holidays, no call)

• Hours: 37.5 hours/week (based on school bell hours)

• Contract Length: Full Academic School Year (approx. 36–42 weeks depending on district calendar)

• Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly (Travel reimbursement/stipends available for eligible candidates)

Requirements

• Valid New Hampshire School Psychologist certification issued by the NH Department of Education (or eligibility to obtain prior to the school year start).

• Master’s, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

• Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is highly preferred.

• Previous experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, leading evaluation meetings, and writing IEP components is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services, analyzing cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional functioning.

• Interpret evaluation results and present findings clearly during IEP and 504 meetings with families, teachers, and administrators.

• Collaborate closely with school staff to design, implement, and monitor evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions (including Functional Behavioral Assessments [FBAs] and Behavior Intervention Plans [BIPs]).

• Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis intervention services to support students' mental health and academic success.

• Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster positive classroom environments and support student learning strategies.

• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation in strict accordance with New Hampshire state regulations and district procedures.
