Schedule: Night shift (Day/Night rotating shift available), 13-16 week contract

Highlights:

• Work in a comprehensive cancer center with 318 acute care beds specializing in oncology care
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) staffing ratios of 1:3 to 1:4 with mixed acuity; Med/Surg Telemetry 1:4 to 1:5
• Epic EMR system with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Floating opportunities across specialized oncology units including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, Gynecological Oncology, and Surgical Oncology
• Self-scheduling with flexible weekend coverage based on unit needs
• Comprehensive orientation program including one week of dayshift orientation followed by bedside training

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of high acuity PCU level or higher experience required within the last 3 years
• At least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred Certifications: OCN, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Required Skills: IV insulin protocols, insulin drip titration, port access and management, arterial line management, chemotherapy administration and monitoring, wound care/wound vac, blood product administration, central line and PICC line management, cardiac drip titration, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• 2 professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role

Important Compliance Information:

Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible.
