Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and/or 1900-0730), rotating every other weekend, some holidays, no call required

- Work in a Magnet-designated, top-ranked academic medical center specializing in cardiothoracic surgery and transplant care
- Acuity adaptable unit with 27 private ICU-capable rooms and patient ratios of 1-3 patients per nurse
- Comprehensive support team including 2 charge nurses, rapid response nurse, nursing assistants, and unit clerks
- Advanced technology including CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and specialized monitoring equipment
- Epic EMR system with 24 hours of orientation provided
- Care for diverse patient population including CABG, valve repair/replacement, heart and lung transplants, and cardiac medical patients
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin or compact state nursing license (must be in hand at time of application)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care CVICU experience within the last 3 years
- Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
- Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine required
- BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
- Basic Arrhythmia experience; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start
- Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable areas preferred
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
