Schedule: 36-hour work week; every other weekend required; no call; flexible holiday scheduling based on assignment length
Highlights:
- Telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients with diverse cardiac and medical diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension, sepsis, and PE/DVT
- Manageable patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a 16-room unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
- Epic EMR experience required; unit utilizes Pyxis and SBAR communication protocols
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off; locals accepted at same rate
- First-time travelers welcomed with minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Orientation hours provided based on contract length with bi-weekly orientation schedule
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Epic charting system experience is mandatory
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management (no titration), blood product administration, central line care, ventilator patient care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Experience with pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery patients preferred
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred at submission
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Full compliance documentation required by Tuesday prior to start date to ensure on-time orientation
