Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratio 1:4-5; average daily census of 35 patients
Highlights:
- Telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, and vascular issues
- Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- 36-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration required) including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, and heparin
- Pre- and post-cardiac cath and cardiac surgery experience highly valued
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 2 years of telemetry experience
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of application
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry or progressive care experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratios
- Core skills include cardiac telemetry, blood product administration, central line management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PCA pumps, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and wound care
- Must have hands-on experience managing cardiac drips (milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, heparin) without titration
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above) required at time of submission
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Full compliance required prior to start date
