Schedule: 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 and/or 1900-0730), every other weekend, some holidays, no call

Highlights:

• Provide specialized care for cardiothoracic surgery, heart and lung transplant patients on a dynamic 27-bed acuity adaptable unit
• Work with advanced technology including CRRT (NxStage), IABP, Impella, LVAD, and ECMO
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Nursing assignments of 1-2 ICU patients with strong charge nurse and resource support
• Epic EMR system with 24 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
• Two years of acute care CVICU experience within the last three years (required)
• Experience and knowledge of NextStage CVVH machine (required)
• Epic EMR experience required, preferably within the last 12 months
• BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
• Basic arrhythmia experience; must pass telemetry test prior to start with strict passing criteria
• Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable areas preferred
• Permanent address must be 50 miles or more from the work site
• Previous travel experience required
