Schedule: Weekend nights, 3x12-hour shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)

Highlights:

• Float to a variety of critical care units including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, CVICU, and more based on staffing needs and patient acuity
• Work with a high-acuity adult patient population in a large academic medical center with 900+ daily census
• Utilize EPIC charting system with interdisciplinary support including RT, PT, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• 36 hours of orientation provided to support successful transition to the float pool
• 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts with exposure to diverse critical care patient diagnoses and specialty procedures including transplant patients
• Weekend-focused schedule with every-other-weekend requirement minimum

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications – Required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR – Required
• Competency in IV starts, telemetry interpretation, and ventilator management
• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly upon contract signing
