Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required; must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays; no block scheduling

Highlights:

• Specialized CVICU patient population including fresh open hearts (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR), ventilated patients, and complex cardiac cases
• Experience with advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, and CRRT (Prismaflex) required
• Floating opportunities across all ICUs, PACU, ED ICU holds, and Cardiac IMC units to expand clinical versatility
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 based on acuity and staffing needs
• Epic EMR system (experience preferred)
• First-time travelers welcome with strong acute care background

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact State RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• CVICU experience with fresh open heart cases strongly preferred; SICU experience with initial CVICU training may be considered
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of submission
• Competency with post-op open heart recovery, Swan-Ganz monitoring, FloTrac, temporary pacers, arterial lines, ventilators, and chest tubes
• Demonstrated experience with BiPAP, CPAP, 12-lead EKG, lumbar drains, and management of acute and chronic renal failure patients
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during contract period
• Previous charge experience preferred
