Schedule: Night shift; self-scheduling requests available. First week orientation Monday-Friday days, followed by 36 hours on-unit orientation with preceptor. Weekend shifts variable based on unit needs.

• 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care
• High acuity progressive care environment treating solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 for PCU; 1:4-5 for Med-Surg Telemetry
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, and respiratory services
• Self-schedule request system allowing input on preferred shifts before final schedule posting
• Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• 2 years of high acuity PCU patient experience required
• Current certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia management, and use of rapid response teams
• Core skills: accessing ports, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line management, IV starts, feeding tube management, PCA pumps, heparin protocols, and cardiac drip management
• Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy management
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred; oncology experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
