Job Opportunity – Postpartum/Antepartum Registered Nurse – Virginia

Location: Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, night shift, every other weekend (Friday/Saturday), every other holiday
Highlights:
- Postpartum and antepartum care with couplet care model in a Baby Friendly facility
- Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts with manageable daily census of 15-30 patients
- Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation
- Float opportunity to NICU for Level II nursery care with specialty orientation provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and lactation consultants
- Up to 40 hours of approved requested time off during the contract
Requirements:
- Active Virginia RN license or license pending (must be in-hand the Wednesday before start date)
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum/antepartum nursing experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Skills required include: postpartum care, antepartum care, newborn assessment, couplet care, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, external fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery and cesarean section care
- Additional certifications preferred: NCC (EFM) and ACLS
- BSN preferred
- Professional references required
