Schedule: 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, night shift, every other weekend (Friday/Saturday), every other holiday

Highlights:

• Postpartum and antepartum care with couplet care model in a Baby Friendly facility
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts with manageable daily census of 15-30 patients
• Epic charting system with 24 hours of paid orientation
• Float opportunity to NICU for Level II nursery care with specialty orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and lactation consultants
• Up to 40 hours of approved requested time off during the contract

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or license pending (must be in-hand the Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 1 year of postpartum/antepartum nursing experience
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 4:1 patient ratios
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Skills required include: postpartum care, antepartum care, newborn assessment, couplet care, magnesium sulfate therapy, pitocin administration, external fetal monitoring, vaginal delivery and cesarean section care
• Additional certifications preferred: NCC (EFM) and ACLS
• BSN preferred
• Professional references required
