Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts; patient ratio 3-4:1

- 18-bed specialized Blood Cancer unit with award-winning quality outcomes
- Primary nursing model emphasizing direct RN-to-patient care
- EMR system: Meditech
- Equipment includes telemetry, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps and PCA
- Exposure to complex procedures including lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies with conscious sedation, and thoracentesis
- High-acuity hematology-oncology patient population with extensive medication, blood product, and electrolyte replacement protocols
Requirements:
- Active Colorado RN license or compact state license
- Compassionate approach to caring for oncology and chronic patient populations
- Quick learner able to adapt to fast-paced, acute care environment
- Preferred: Chemo and biotherapy certification
- Preferred: Step-down or critical care experience with standing orders (fluid bolus, first fever protocols)
- Ability to work safely around hazardous drugs (education provided for excreta handling)
