Description
Start Date: To be determined based on EPIC training class schedule
Location: Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period), no call
Highlights:
- Float assignment across IMC, Telemetry (cardiac and non-cardiac), and Medical/Surgical units
- 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts (days, nights, and weekends)
- Advanced patient population including pulmonary, cardiac, trauma, ventilator-dependent, and cardiac drip patients
- Epic EMR system with mandatory training class provided
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
- Adult patient population with diverse critical care conditions
Requirements:
- Active Virginia or Compact State RN license (must be active/in hand at time of submission)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Cardiac Telemetry certification required
- Minimum 3 years of PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Demonstrated experience managing dysrhythmias, cardiac drips with titration, heparin protocols, central and PICC line care
- Pre/Post cardiac catheterization experience required
- Experience with rapid response teams, telemetry monitoring, and isolation precautions required
- Epic EMR experience (recent experience within past year preferred)
- NIH stroke certification, IV starts, wound care/wound vac, TBI, peripheral nerve blocks, and surgical drains preferred
- Charge experience preferred
- COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered per CMS guidelines)
- Smoke/nicotine free facility – compliance required
