Schedule: Night shift, 13–26 week assignment available, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• 24-hour orientation (2 shifts) with Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, respiratory services, and lift teams

• Opportunity to work with diverse patient diagnoses including general med/surg, chemotherapy administration, sepsis, AKI, diabetic management, and complex wound care

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license required at start)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an inpatient medical surgical setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS/ONCC) required – must be able to administer chemotherapy
• Required skills: Med/Surg experience, colostomy care, accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draws, peripheral and PICC line management, heparin and insulin administration, surgical drains, chest tubes, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions, wound care and wound VAC management
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to float to similar units and alternate care locations including ED inpatient holding areas
• Ability to work Storm Team/Hurricane Team assignments and respond during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
