Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, 2 of 3 major holidays required
Highlights:
- 1:1-2 patient ratios with complex cardiovascular and critical care cases
- Float to all ICU, PACU, Emergency Department ICU holding areas, and Cardiac IMC units
- Epic EMR system preferred; manager interview required
- First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Advanced equipment experience required: Impella, IABP, CRRT with Prismax
Requirements:
- Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- CVICU experience with fresh open heart cases (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR) required; SICU experience may be considered with initial CVICU training
- Demonstrated experience with post-op open heart recovery, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz monitoring, FloTrac, temporary pacers, arterial lines, and chest tubes
- Proven competency with advanced cardiac devices: Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax
- Prior charge experience preferred
Patient Mix & Clinical Skills:
- Fresh open heart cases including CABG, valve replacements and repairs
- Ventilated patients requiring BiPAP and CPAP management
- Chest tube and lumbar drain care
- Chronic and acute renal failure management with CRRT
- 12-lead EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Hemodynamic monitoring including Swan-Ganz and FloTrac systems
- Adult and geriatric patient populations

Additional Information:
- Floating within skillset required based on unit needs and patient acuity
- No block scheduling available
- Time off requests must be submitted at time of application and confirmed in writing
- Requests with less than 7 days of time off and no holiday requests will be prioritized
- Approximately 18 hours of non-billable training modules required, including 4 hours of Epic training
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays during contract period
