Schedule: Night shift, 13-week assignment, 36 or 48 hours per week available, every other weekend and every other holiday

Highlights:

• 12-bed intermediate care unit blending critical care and neuroscience principles
• Diverse patient population including neuro trauma, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage, post-operative spine patients, CVA, craniotomy, and head/neck oncology reconstruction
• 1:3 patient ratio providing quality care with manageable workload
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Up to 40 hours of pre-approved time off available during contract
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more

Requirements:

• Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be in-hand by Wednesday before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications current and in-hand
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (can be obtained before start date)
• BSN preferred
• Experience with neuro stepdown, PCU/IMC, telemetry, and critical care competencies including arterial lines, vasoactive drips, lumbar drains, EVDs, and neurosurgical patient management
• Willingness to float within scope of practice per facility policy
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
