Schedule: Rotating Day/Night shifts (12-hour shifts), self-scheduling with requests reviewed every 4 weeks. Flexible schedule required; shift assignments determined by facility needs and may include weekends.

Highlights:

• 13-16 week travel assignment on a mixed acuity unit caring for Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical patients
• Patient population includes oncology focus with head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumor patients
• 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio with interdisciplinary team support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• EPIC charting system; 72 hours of orientation including one week of day shift orientation followed by 36 hours with a preceptor
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 32 patients; GE telemetry monitoring system and Alaris pumps
• Self-scheduling requests available with final schedules balanced by facility based on staffing priorities

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; previous travel experience preferred
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN certifications preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care/management required
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, chemotherapy administration, and CPAP/BiPAP preferred
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity level
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role
