Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), on-call required 3 shifts per 6-week period
Highlights:
- Community hospital setting with diverse patient population including NICU, PICU, Pediatric ED, and Med/Surgical units
- 50-60% of daily caseload consists of NICU and PICU patients
- Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility
- Minimum 13-week contract with 24-30 hours of orientation provided
- First-time travelers welcome; locals accepted
- Comprehensive respiratory care including ventilator/NIV management, arterial blood gases, and airway management
Requirements:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Active North Carolina or Compact state respiratory therapy license in hand at time of start
- BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- NICU and Pediatrics experience mandatory
- PICU and Pediatric ED experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and mechanical ventilation
- Labor and Delivery experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Must be flexible with floating to various pediatric units and on-call assignments
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
