Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening/Night shifts, 12 hours (1900-0730), every other weekend and some holidays required
Highlights:
- Work in an 18-bed Neuroscience ICU that serves as a hub for a Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Specialize in the care of critically ill adult patients with stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, and traumatic brain injury
- Epic charting system required; recent experience within the last 12 months preferred
- Magnet-designated facility recognized as Wisconsin's #1 hospital
- Patient ratio of 2:1 across all shifts
- 13-week travel assignment with comprehensive orientation
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid compact license from permanent address state (must be in hand at time of submittal)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
- Previous successful travel assignment (13 weeks minimum) required
- Experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drains required
- BLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association only
- Basic arrhythmia experience; must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start with strict passing criteria
- Epic charting experience required
- Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
