Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts; 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio (PCU), 1:4-5 (MS); floating to various oncology units as needed; weekend shifts vary based on unit requirements

Highlights:

• 13-16 week travel contract with comprehensive orientation (72 hours)
• Progressive Care Unit and Medical-Surgical oncology experience in a secure corrections healthcare setting
• EPIC charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Diverse patient population including active oncology diagnoses, post-surgical care, and complex medical conditions
• Rotating shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs
• Strong interdisciplinary support including Rapid Response Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• EPIC charting experience required; oncology experience preferred but not required
• Competencies in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, central line management, PICC line care, tracheostomy management, and respiratory support (CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula)
• Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, and PCA administration
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 professional references required (at least one from formal leadership/management)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
