Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, self-scheduling with request submission, variable weekend coverage based on unit needs

Highlights:

• 13-16 week travel assignment on a mixed acuity Surgical Oncology unit caring for both PCU and Med-Surg patients
• Fast-paced surgical floor specializing in oncologic, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive surgical patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio goal of 1:4, may occasionally be 1:5
• 72 hours of orientation including first week Monday-Friday day shift followed by 36 hours on-unit precepting
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and more
• 36-bed unit caring for adults and geriatric patients with diverse surgical diagnoses

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry, chest tube management, CPAP/BiPAP, heparin and insulin protocols, chemotherapy monitoring, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Willingness to float to other acute care oncology units as needed
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
