Schedule: Day or Night Shift available; 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement (4 weekend shifts per month); Patient ratio 4-5:1

Highlights:

• 15-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in cardiac telemetry and post-surgical patient care
• Diverse case mix including post-cardiac catheterization, EP studies, device placements, open heart and lung surgery patients, orthopedic post-ops, and general surgery patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Work with critical cardiac drips (Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone), chest tubes, epidurals, and PCA pumps
• Meditech EMR system; collaborative team environment with 22 nursing staff members
• Opportunities for floating to ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg units for skill development
• 2 positions available

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patient management
• Experience with chest tube management and epidural care
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent time management skills with ability to handle high patient turnover
