Location: Albany, New York

Schedule: Full-time nursing position; patient load averages 3 high acuity patients per shift

Highlights:

• Progressive Critical Care Unit with medically delicate and surgically complex patient population
• Epic EMR system experience required
• Competency test required within 24 hours of submission
• Specialized case mix including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines, central venous pressure monitoring, and external ventricular drains
• Experience with high-flow nasal cannula, BiPap/Cpap, and oxygen-dependent patient management

Requirements:

• Current RN license in New York State
• ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience mandatory
• Competence in medical and surgical patient populations
• Proficiency with advanced hemodynamics, pressor titration protocols, antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcotic infusions, thrombo-embolytics, and orthopedic traction
• Large-scale adult PCU experience or community hospital ICU experience preferred
• Strong infection prevention protocol knowledge
• Current email address required for competency testing
