Description
Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, 36-hour orientation, every other weekend required, no call
Highlights:
- Work with an adult to geriatric patient population in a 32-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with an average daily census of 29
- Utilize Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication system in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
- Gain experience with diverse skill sets including wound care, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PICC line management, and blood product administration
- First-time travelers are welcomed with 1 year of experience; full support from IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off available (blackout dates apply during Spring Break: April 4-12)
- Locals accepted at the same rate
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submittal
- BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and medical surgical/telemetry patient populations
- Proficiency in isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, IV starts, PICC line management, feeding tube care, and blood product administration
- Two supervisory references (manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date
