Schedule: 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, 36-hour orientation, every other weekend required, no call

Highlights:

• Work with an adult to geriatric patient population in a 32-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with an average daily census of 29
• Utilize Epic EMR, Pyxis, and SBAR communication system in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment
• Gain experience with diverse skill sets including wound care, high flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• First-time travelers are welcomed with 1 year of experience; full support from IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off available (blackout dates apply during Spring Break: April 4-12)
• Locals accepted at the same rate

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact state RN license required at time of submittal
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios and medical surgical/telemetry patient populations
• Proficiency in isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, IV starts, PICC line management, feeding tube care, and blood product administration
• Two supervisory references (manager level or above) highly preferred at time of submission
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Full compliance documentation required by the Tuesday prior to start date
