Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (Float: ICU Step-Down / Brain Health / Long-Term Ventilator Unit) – Maryland

Start Date: February 2, 2026
Location: Baltimore, Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Every other weekend required; float assignment across three specialized units

Highlights:

  • Float across three high-acuity units: ICU Step-Down (40 beds), Brain Health Unit (60 beds), and Long-Term Ventilator Unit (18–23 beds)
  • Care for complex patient populations including post-cardiac arrest, pneumonia, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, CVA rehabilitation, and chronic ventilator-dependent residents
  • Work with specialty equipment including mechanical ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, tracheostomies, chest tubes, PICC lines, and G-tubes
  • Charting system: Cerner
  • Interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
  • First-time travelers accepted; locals welcome at the same rate

Requirements:

  • Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
  • 2 years of RN experience required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Strong clinical skills in ventilator management, central line care, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and IV medication administration
  • LTAC and Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Ability to attend full orientation Tuesday–Friday during day shift
  • Strict adherence to time and attendance policies required; zero tolerance for tardiness or unexcused absences
  • Must work every other holiday (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
