Schedule: Flexible days and nights; every other weekend required; 1:7 patient ratio

Highlights:

• Inpatient hospice unit specializing in end-of-life care for adult and geriatric populations
• 24 hours of orientation provided to ensure smooth transition
• Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, interpretation services, and unit secretaries
• Unit staffed with 1 RN and 1 tech per shift in a 24-hour care model
• Experience with administration of large volumes of narcotics for comfort care
• First-time travelers welcome with relevant hospice or extensive nursing experience

Requirements:

• Active Maryland or Compact state RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience; hospice experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification required; CHPN certification preferred
• Charting system experience required
• Must be flexible to work both day and night shifts as needed
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Candidates with only acute care experience will be screened individually
