Description
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am), 36 or 48 hours per week; 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period; on-call as needed based on workload
Highlights:
- Work in a large respiratory care department practicing at the top of licensure across Med/Surg, ICU step-down, and Emergency Department settings
- Diverse patient population from adolescents to geriatrics with comprehensive respiratory care including vent management, airway management, and advanced therapies
- Epic EMR system required; orientation provided during day shifts before transitioning to nights
- 13-week contract available with up to 7 days of approved time off (no RTO during first week or major holidays)
- Advanced equipment including Servo ventilators, high-flow systems, and ABL90 ABG machines
- Float only within the facility based on unit needs and skill set
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- Active North Carolina or Compact state RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credentials required at start
- Epic charting system experience is required
- Work setting experience: ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg, and ICU/Step-down
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, RRT (CRT will not be accepted)
- Core competencies: Airway management, medication administration, vent management (Servo I and Servo U required), ABGs, O2 therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, vest therapy, Meta-neb, PAP therapy, and heated high-flow
- Preferred certifications: NRP; Preferred skills: Bronchoscopy experience
- First-time travelers accepted; local candidates also considered
