Schedule: 0630 start time. Scheduled two shifts every other weekend. On-call requirements include 16 hours weekend and 24 hours weekday per 4-week period, with 30-minute response time. Weekend on-call is in addition to regularly scheduled weekend shifts.

Requirements:

• Active California RN license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum three years recent RN experience in registered nurse role
• Minimum two years recent RN experience in a specialty area
• Demonstrated experience in orthopedic, neurological, and robotic surgery
• Strong circulating RN skills preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect care as the primary provider for an assigned group of surgical patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and individualized care planning in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Implement therapeutic interventions and adapt care plans using evidence-based practice appropriate to patient age and cultural needs
• Serve as patient and family advocate, ensuring participation in decision-making and upholding individual rights
• Coordinate and communicate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and workflow
• Delegate and assign care within appropriate scope of practice to healthcare team members
• Document patient assessment, interventions, and responses according to department guidelines and policies
