Description
Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Brownsville, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 4:1 patient ratios, 2 weekends per schedule required
Highlights:
- 22-bed Emergency Department with full-service trauma and cardiac capabilities
- High-acuity environment caring for STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and trauma patients
- Team includes charge nurse, 5–6 RNs per shift, and dedicated ER techs
- Meditech EMR documentation system
- No on-call requirements
- Collaborative environment with 55+ emergency care professionals
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity setting
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC, ENPC, and CPI certifications required
- Strong triage and critical thinking skills using ESI guidelines
- Experience with trauma and cardiac alerts, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis protocols
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is preferred but not required
