Location: Upstate New York
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend; patient ratios 1:3-5 days/weekends, 1:3-6 nights (adjusted by acuity)

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit caring for PCU, Medical-Surgical Telemetry, and stepdown patients
• Diverse case mix including surgical pre/post-op (ENT, general, trauma, orthopedic), overflow medical diagnoses, and cardiac patients
• EPIC charting system with 12-hour orientation
• Float to sister units as needed; strong interdisciplinary support including RT, PT, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Block scheduling with approved time off available
• New York State RN license required prior to submission

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year RN experience required
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Intermediate Care (IMC) experience within the last 3 years is mandatory
• New York State RN license in hand
• EPIC charting experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardiac drips (titration), IV insulin protocols, central line care, chest tubes, wound care/wound vac, and high-flow oxygen delivery systems
• Experience with post-MI care, renal failure, blood product administration, tracheostomy management, and stroke (CVA) patients
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• PALS and TCAR experience preferred
