Description
Start Date: February 17, 2026
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week period); no call; floating required to IMC, Telemetry 1 (cardiac), Telemetry 2 (non-cardiac), and Med/Surg units
Highlights:
- Intermediate care unit specializing in pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patient populations
- Experience with advanced airway management, including tracheostomies, ventilators, high flow oxygen, and BiPAP
- Manage cardiac drips and titrations, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, dysrhythmias, and chest tubes
- 4:1 patient ratio across all shifts
- Epic EMR system with required training provided during orientation
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
Requirements:
- Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission (pending licenses cannot be accepted)
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH preferred
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience with previous travel experience required
- PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required; previous charge experience preferred
- Cardiac telemetry monitoring and management of dysrhythmias required
- Experience with central line and PICC line management, heparin protocols, and cardiac drip titration required
- Pre/post cardiac catheterization and isolation precautions experience required
- Epic charting system experience required; statement of Epic experience needed with submission
- Must be willing to float to multiple units including Med/Surg in rotation with facility staff
- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); Flu vaccine required during flu season (medical exemptions only)
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility
