Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – Alaska

Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 3x12 Days (shift times vary: 0645-1915 or 0900-2130); weekend and on-call coverage required

Highlights:

13-week assignment at a 407-bed Magnet-designated acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
Diverse surgical case mix including trauma, orthopedic/spine, neurosurgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, vascular, pediatrics, and bariatric procedures
Advanced technology environment featuring XI Robot, Stealth navigation, Mazor Robot Spine, and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System
Epic EMR charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, radiology, and lift teams
Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period with limited call-off potential
Work at Alaska's top-ranked hospital serving diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatrics

Requirements:

Active Alaska RN license in hand (pending licenses accepted for submission, but license must be obtained before start)
BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience with Level II Trauma experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
Epic charting experience required
Comprehensive OR skills including scrubbing for general surgery, trauma, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, gynecology, urology, vascular, and pediatric cases
Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Willingness to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of comparable OR experience within the last 3 years
