Schedule: Standard schedule with flexibility for emergency situations; holiday coverage may be required

Highlights:

• Work under the medical direction of board-certified pathologists in a collaborative healthcare environment
• Perform preparation, gross description, and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
• Participate in postmortem examinations as part of comprehensive pathology services
• Utilize hospital and laboratory information systems with current technology and instrumentation
• 13-week contract assignment with 8-hour non-billable orientation
• Support mission-driven healthcare delivery in the Berkshire region

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• (PA)ASCP certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology is required – equivalent certifications will not be accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pathologists' Assistant
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Reliable transportation required
• Skills checklist and supervisory reference from within the past two years required at time of submission
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative, and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
• Flexibility to work additional hours or shifts in emergency situations
