Location: Richmond, Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with 4:1 patient ratio; rotating weekends (every other weekend); day and night shifts available; overtime opportunities

Highlights:

• 18-bed Cardiac Stepdown Unit specializing in post-surgical cardiac care including CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, mitral clip, thoracotomy, and cardiac conditions such as Afib, CHF, and MI
• Work with advanced cardiac equipment including central lines, PCAs, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry monitors, and various drains
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and nitroglycerin
• EMR system: Meditech
• Assessments and vital signs every 4 hours; rhythm interpretation every 4 hours
• May float to telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed

Requirements:

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to read cardiac monitors (required)
• Experience administering narcotics (required)
• Stepdown unit experience preferred
• Cardiac knowledge and experience strongly preferred
