Description
Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Evening and night shifts (1500-2330, 1900-0730, 2300-0730); every other weekend rotation; holidays; 1 call shift per 6-week scheduling period
Highlights:
- Work at Wisconsin's #1 hospital, a Magnet-designated Level 1 Trauma Center
- Provide care across all age groups including pediatrics, adults, adolescents, and geriatrics
- Work with advanced respiratory modalities including non-invasive ventilation, high flow, and mechanical ventilation at IMC and ICU levels
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in an academic teaching institution and leading referral center
- Epic EMR charting system
- Approximately 40 hours of orientation provided
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 Trauma Center or similar-sized hospital required
- Pediatric and adult experience preferred
- Prior travel experience highly preferred
- Graduate of a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited school required
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the State of Wisconsin (must be in hand at submittal)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- BLS certification through American Heart Association only
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
