Schedule: Float assignment across three specialty units; every other weekend required; every other holiday rotation

Highlights:

• Float rotation across ICU Step-Down (40 beds), Brain Health Unit (60 beds across two floors), and Long-Term Ventilator Care (18-23 beds)
• Diverse case mix including ventilator-dependent patients, acute rehabilitation, chronic medical conditions, post-cardiac arrest, stroke recovery, sepsis, respiratory failure, and neurological diagnoses
• Work with specialty equipment including ventilators, tracheostomies, PICC lines, chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula, and non-titratable drips
• Specialized training provided for ventilator management and alarm response protocols
• Cerner EMR system in use; interdisciplinary support from PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Valid Maryland or Compact State RN license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience with ventilator modes (CV, CMV, A/C, SIMV, PS, PC, IRV +/- PEEP) strongly preferred
• LTAC and Trauma Level I experience preferred; charge experience a plus
• Proficiency with Cerner required; skills in critical drips, central line management, tracheostomy care, and complex wound care essential
• Must be available for orientation Tuesday through Friday during day shift
• Strict adherence to attendance policies required; facility has zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences
