Description
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15), 36 hours per week, every other weekend (minimum 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
Highlights:
- High-volume, fast-paced birthing center averaging 20 births per 24 hours and 300+ births per month
- 2:1 patient ratio with comprehensive intrapartum, high-risk antepartum, and postpartum care
- Includes obstetrical triage unit with 40 visits per day and 30-40 daily admits
- Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
- 13 to 26-week contracts available with flexibility for qualified candidates
- Scrubs provided; 24-hour paid orientation included
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience; 3 years preferred
- Experience in high-volume setting with 300+ births per month required
- Current BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (or C-EFM) certifications
- Proficiency in circulating for Cesarean sections, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
- Epic charting experience required
- North Carolina or Compact nursing license (must be active by start date)
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Comfortable with floating to Special Maternity Care high-risk OB unit as needed
