Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend; floating within facility as needed

Highlights:

• Progressive telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a 16-room unit
• Comprehensive case mix including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and more
• Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication
• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Up to 7 days of requested time off available; spring break blackout dates apply

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, and heparin protocols
• Competency in pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care, IV insulin protocols, ventilated patient care, and wound management
• Two supervisory references from manager level or above required at time of submission
• Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
