Description
Job Opportunity – Telemetry RN – Georgia
Start Date: February 23, 2026
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week; every other weekend; floating within facility as needed
Highlights:
- Progressive telemetry unit caring for adult to geriatric patients with cardiac and acute medical conditions
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a 16-room unit
- Comprehensive case mix including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, post-cardiac procedures, and more
- Epic EMR system required; experience with Pyxis and SBAR communication
- Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Up to 7 days of requested time off available; spring break blackout dates apply
Requirements:
- Active Georgia or Compact State RN license required at time of application
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry or step-down nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Proficiency in cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, and heparin protocols
- Competency in pre/post cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care, IV insulin protocols, ventilated patient care, and wound management
- Two supervisory references from manager level or above required at time of submission
- Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only
